Landon King is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from San Mateo, CA who attends St. Francis. Medium athletic build with good present strength. 7.33 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has some lower half quickness and gets to his spots well, clean funnel out front with a quick transfer and release, good arm strength for his age and makes accurate throws. Left handed hitter, hits from a comfortable stance with a tight hand load, gets into his lower half well and turns tight and hard, has quick hands and creates bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard and often, projects very well as a hitter. Took a turn on the mound, works from a fast paced delivery and a full windup, compact arm action from a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, also threw a nice curveball with good shape and spin and killed the spin on his change up well. Showed an idea how to mix his pitches and throw strikes. Nice all around athlete with a high ceiling. Named to the 2024 13u Select Festival.
