Evan Bailey is a 2028 RHP/2B/3B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Pine Beach,, NJ who attends Donovan Catholic. Medium young athletic build. Works from the stretch with a coiled leg raise start, engages his lower half well and works well down the mound, lower release height creates some plane through the zone. Fastball was in the upper 70's and creates swing and miss while throwing lots of strikes. Curveball had some downer depth to it, showed a feel for pitching and will continue to improve with additional strength. 5.20 runner in the forty. Secondary infielder on defense, waits back on the ball and tends to get his glove down late, works uphill into his throws, made accurate soft throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a simple stride into contact, has some compact bat speed with a line drive swing path, best when he's getting off his back side. Good student.
