Beau Baggenstoss is a 2029 C/RHP/SS with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Cave Creek, AZ who attends Cactus Shadows. Recorded a 7.58 second sixty yard dash time. Medium, lean build. Primary catcher works from a one-knee stance and quick out of the crouch with a direct mid-line transfer. The infielder showed some first step quickness. Also threw on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a hybrid windup with a letter-high leg lift into a long, slightly crossfire stride down the mound. The hands start at the belt before rising to the back shoulder and breaking into a quick, compact takeaway and accelerates through from an over-the-top arm angle. Gets good push and drive off the back leg and gets on top of the ball well at release to create some downhill tilt to the mix. The fastball (1963 RPM) was mid-to-upper-70s and topped out at 80 and showed a sinker (1805 RPM) in the low-70s with some arm-side fade. The curveball (2004 RPM) was mid-60s with loose spin and 11-5 shape. Right-handed hitter starts from a bent-knee stance with open feet and a high handset with a high back elbow, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger. Hands work with solid bat speed and a pull-side oriented approach at times and collected a hit during game action. Intriguing player with room to fill and the frame and more strength and velocity to grow into.
