Jorge Ignacio is a 2023 SS/3B with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Spencer, MA. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shorter strides moving towards the ball fields the ball out front and funnels into body well, made a nice play going up the middle in live action on a soft flair, will continue to refine backhand actions, shows accuracy on throws when working on top of the ball, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, begins with a tall stance at the plate with a high hand set and back elbow from the right side, longer swing path through the zone with some lift out front, tends to open front side early, occasionally gets uphill but shows quickness to hands. Left-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, keeps hands inside the ball, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength, looks to pull the ball at point of contact.
