Chanz Chancey is a 2029 C/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Choate Rosemary Hall. Longer athletic build with good present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high hand load, slashing swing with good bat speed, stays inside the ball, hit to all fields with best contact to right center field, turns his hips hard and creates some jump at impact, has the tools and strength to continue to develop as a hitter. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a square crouch, has good lower half quickness, compact exchange with a longer arm stroke, has solid arm strength and made accurate throws. Also worked out in the outfield, moved well and had clean glove work. Has run a 6.86 sixty at previous PG events, has the athleticism and arm to play multiple positions. Good student.
