Donavon Rogers is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Indian River High School. Recorded a 7.63-second 60-yard dash time. Compact, athletic build with strength remaining to be added throughout frame. Primary outfielder, deliberate footwork, fields the ball off his front foot. Clean glove work with carrying momentum through the ball. Accurate throws up to 72 mph flashing athleticism in his actions. Secondary right-handed pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch with a simple drop and drive lower half. Over-the-top arm slot, creating cutting action on his fastball. Works downhill, spraying the zone for strikes. Fastball was up to 70 mph with developing feel for breaking ball. Right-handed hitter, wide base, slightly crouched stance with a high-hand set. A busy load as his barrel remains flat through the zone, working through the middle of the field with some line-drive impact to the pull side. Good student.
