2021 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Jack Brafa is a 2023 RHP/IF with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Medina, TN who attends South Gibson. Medium to large frame with a physically mature build. Broad shoulders and a sturdy lower half. Ran a 7.58 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, simple delivery as he lifts to the belt while staying compact in the motion. Strides out and gets extended as he drives off the back side. Shorter arm stroke creating whip as he released from a higher three-quarter slot. Fastball with life out of hand as he was up to 88 mph while creating arm side run. Had a pair of secondaries. More advanced being a fading changeup right around 80 mph that he tunneled well off the fastball. Rounded the arsenal off with a slurvy breaking ball that he landed for strikes. Attacked hitters as he missed barrels while in the process. Competitive attitude with full trust in his arsenal. Big upside on the mound. Secondary Infielder, working into the baseball under control as he did a good job keeping it in front of him. Scooped it up before working into a conservative transition. Arm strength present as he threw it 84 mph across the diamond. Right-Handed Hitter, balanced and slightly open with the front side to start. Sets the angle early as he strides out while creating separation. Longer path as he looks to do damage with big cuts. Proved he could backspin the baseball while showing off the power into the gaps in both batting practice and in games. Great Student. Named to National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.
