KJ Merriweather is a 2020 OF/UT with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Alexander, AR who attends Joe T. Robinson HS. Recorded a 6.60 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic build with plenty of quick twitch muscle and excellent speed that causes havoc on the base paths. Primary outfielder with short steps into the ball with a short arm stroke. Hooked in the back slightly with an uphill release. Arm strength recorded up to 78 mph into the infield and carry can be improved by getting throws lower to the ground. Righthanded hitter with a crouched stance and a lower hand set. Toe tap trigger as a timing mechanism and hands make it through the hitting zone well. Aggressive hitter and looks to jump on mistakes. Swings hard and can impact the ball with good strength. Good student.
