Andrew Pogue is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Peoria, IL who attends Dunlap HS. Extra large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, plenty of room to fill throughout moving forward with added strength. Primary righthanded pitcher, compact and fluid delivery with a full arm action through the backside, balance and on line delivery, worked to a high three-quarters release and able to create downhill plane on fastball. Fastball topped out at 87 mph and lived in the 82-84 mph range. Generates nice sinking life on fastball, sound arm speed through the back, able to work away from lefthanded hitters well. Curveball shows 11-5 shape, tightness developed throughout outing, nice depth and able to command it. Changeup showed splitter action at 73 mph. Fields position well and shows athleticism; poised on the mound. Good student. Named to Main Event Top Prospect List.
