Donovan Whitfield is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-5 188 lb. frame from Fayetteville, NC who attends Jack Britt. Very long and lean frame, extremely physically projectable. Side step delivery with a pause above the rubber, timing works well for him and he repeats his delivery well for his size and age, over the top arm slot that creates plenty of downhill angle. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, plenty more velocity there with additional strength and physical maturity, had a idea how to spot his fastball and work away from the middle of the plate. Tunnels a 12/6 downer curveball well with his fastball with some spin and depth. 7.29 runner in the sixty, young lower half actions in the outfield with good arm strength and accuracy. Right handed hitter, lean and lift approach with good leverage and some raw bat speed, busy load leaves him off time frequently but can drive the ball when squared up. Named to the Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
