Jake Hill is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Forsyth Central. Tall frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a large rock step to compact leg lift delivery. Stays low throughout delivery and tends to land at a slightly closed position with front side. Clears hips well while releasing from a low, extended three-quarters arm slot. Fastball generated solid deception to the plate flashing good sink with cut to glove side in the upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Curveball had 9/4 sweeping shape with early break out of hand. Also flashed a straight changeup that showed occasional sink in the mid 60's. Consistently mixed pitches and speeds, effectively keeping hitters off balance while inducing weak contact. Projects for additional velocity with continue physical development. Very good student as well.
