Ray Bermudez is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Hollywood, FL who attends West Broward. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows a short and compact arm action through the back with a higher release point, will continue to refine lower half mechanics, shows nice carry and accuracy when working on top of the ball. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a spread, bent knee stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; loads hands back at start of swing. Long swing path through the zone, shows a handle for the barrel with a linear plane through the zone, looseness to hands coming through. Nice bat-to-ball skills and found the barrel in live action, projects with added strength. Good student. Verbal commitment to Miami.
