Julian Mercado is a 2025 1B/ with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends The Masters Academy. A primary first baseman with a young frame showing room to fill. At first base he showed decent glove skills, gets tall in the throwing position and could stay down in his legs more, throws showed some carry and were accurate. At the plate, his left handed swing starts with a spread base and open stance, does a nice job getting the barrel head out front at contact and will develop more bat speed with added strength.
