Cam Cox is a 2019 OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Hesston, KS who attends Hesston High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build, sports present strength and more to come. Quick twitch muscle, posted a 6.87 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, good energy with quick footwork moving towards the ball and works through it well, fundamentally sound and repeats actions, gets on top of throws and shows standout arm strength with carry to the bag and solid accuracy. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Full swing path through the zone and shows a linear plane, ball comes off the barrel well when squared. Projects with additional lower half utilized in swing but can already generate back spin and carry to pull side. Nice tools. Named to Junior National Top Prospect List. Very good student.
