Jackson Werth is a 2021 SS/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Great Falls, VA who attends Flint Hill High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to develop moving forward. Primary shortstop, takes longer strides moving towards the ball and fields it out front, clean transfer and funnel with an extra step through release, shows ability to drop slot on throws across with carry and remains accurate, overall arm strength will continue to develop. Switch-hitter, more fluidity and natural feel from the left side; high hand set and back elbow in the box. Looks to lift the ball at point of contact and stays direct with path, short finish through the ball and shows comfort hitting to his pull side. Starts with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow from the right side; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Contact oriented approach and stays short to the ball, keeps hands inside, shows occasional lift at point of contact. Good student.
