John Modugno is a 2019 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-5 175 lb. frame from Upper Saddle River, NJ who attends Don Bosco Prep. Tall and very projectable frame with a lot of room to add strength and physicality. Recorded a 3.93 30-yard dash. Primary pitcher with a leg lift just above the belt and a short side step into his delivery. Has a quick arm with full arm action and threw from a three-quarter arm slot. The fastball had cut to it and he worked it effectively to both sides of the plate. Generated swings and misses off the fastball and the curveball had tight spin and rotation. Accurate throws at first base who played well off the bag. Showed hitting tools at the plate with an inside hand path. Stands open with a smooth swing and looks to drive the ball to all fields. Repeats his swing well and whips the barrel through the hitting zone. Great student.
