Hunter Simmons is a 2020 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Mansfield, TX who attends Mansfield. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout. Ran a 7.08 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary third baseman. First step quickness with playable hands out front into clean funnel. Strong arm across the diamond creating carry to the bag at 83 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a spread stance to start and a long hanging load for timing. Creates bat speed through the zone with an elevated path to contact. Generates jump off the barrel when squared up with a big power potential. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a compact and quick arm action in the back into a high three-quarters release. Hides the ball in the back through a repeatable delivery. Straight fastball creating angle to the plate at 85 miles per hour. Mixes in both a tight spinning curveball as well as a hard changeup with fading life. Named to the 2018 National Underclass South Showcase Top Prospect List.
