Caden Powell is a 2022 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Clinton, OK who attends Clinton. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front with two hands, some bend at waist but hands play nicely at the ball, higher slot on throws across the diamond, on line carry towards first base, tools to play third base at the next level. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a big shift through lower half moving into contact. Occasionally gets mistimed with weight shift, nice present offensive tools with additional juice to unlock with refinements. Gets extended out front, shows big impact strength to pull side when squared and power tool stands out, full swing path through the zone. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Oklahoma.
