Jase Canfield is a 2025 OF/RHP, 2B, MIF, UT with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Hempstead. He has a medium frame with an athletic build and room to add strength. Ran the 40-Yard Dash in 4.97 seconds. Primary outfielder that attacks the ball with confidence and fields it off of his front foot cleanly. He shows nice actions and transfers the ball consistently well before throwing with a quick release to the target. He showed nice accuracy and the ability to generate carry on his throws. Secondary right-handed pitcher that has a smooth delivery and uses a knee to belt leg kick. He fires with a longer arm action with a 3/4 slot. He showed nice arm speed through his motion and lands online with the plate. He is able to generate nice arm side run on his fastball and his slider pairs off this pitch well, showing late action through the zone. Right-handed hitter that starts in a slightly open stance with low hands and a low back elbow. He uses a short stride for timing and does a nice job of staying short to the ball. He has a simple swing at the plate and is able to generate pop when he is on time. He has a pull approach and looks to drive the ball in the air. Excellent student.
