2026 PG Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
John Martinez is a 2029 OF/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Reborn Christian Academy. Long and lean young athletic build. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, loose arm action, good arm and body projection, more velocity will come, has good actions and was accurate to either bag on all throws, good carry and accuracy for a '29 graduate, developing mover. Right-handed pitcher, easy mover from a stretch only delivery, balanced leg lift, solid drive down the mound, some arm speed and is loose through release, spun an 11/5 curveball, developing control but has upside on the mound. Right-handed hitter, even base, some present twitch, very rotational, lots of intent with bat speed, compact swing, lower hand set by the chest, creates some separation in his load to the back shoulder, quality bat speed and acceleration at this stage. Picked up a hard hit double to the left-center gap in game. Very good student. Named to the PG Preseason High School Showcase Top Prospect List.
