2023 High School All State Select Championship (2024-2025 Grads)
Timothy Leark is a 2025 OF/LHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Oak Park, IL who attends Oak Park & River Forest. Features a smaller lean frame with present athleticism and room to add strength. Ran a 6.98 60-yd dash. In the OF, he had a more methodical approach to the baseball where he was slower to start and into reception but gained foot speed and quickness as he worked into his throws. On throws used a full/loose arm swing that got off strong and accurate throws up to 90 mph. At the plate, he sits in a balanced stance and uses a simple rhythmic load. The hands show some above avg. quickness in delivering the barrel where he really drives the hips through. Barrel works short and direct to it with decent length. Some inconsistent timing throughout the round but showed some quality strength at impact when he caught it out front. On the mound, he side steps into a belt high knee lift. More tall/fall down the mound that starts with a slower tempo and works with some late quickness into rotation where he lands slightly open. Used a more hand-lead path out the glove for a longer arm action that gets up to release with above avg. armspeed at a higher ¾ slot. He ran his fastball up to 85 that showed effectiveness up in the zone. Mixed in a two-seam as well that had some armside run. His developing upper 60s curveball showed some late downward action to it. Was named to the Top Prospects List.
