Matthew Bias is a 2026 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Liberty University Online Academy. Features a medium, athletic frame. Left-handed pitcher with a stretch only operation. Has short arm action with a simple, repeatable delivery. Fastball has cut and ran it up to 85. Changeup has arm side run with late dip. Curveball has one-seven movement with depth. Locates all three-pitches with consistency. In the outfield he fields out front with a downhill release. Velocity was up to 86 and was extremely accurate to both bags. At first base, showed good actions across the board. Solid glove work combines with a quick, accurate arm. Really smooth at the position. At the plate he has a moderate base with solid bat speed. Snapped the barrel consistently with a high extended two-hand finish. Pull side approach while catching a ton of barrels in the round. Ran a 7.16 sixty-yard dash. Good student.
