Luke Padgett is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Brownsburg, IN who attends Brownsburg. Primary outfielder with a medium sized frame. Fields it out front with a two hand gather while starting and staying low to ground. Takes a good direct path to the baseball but will sit back at times and is somewhat cautious to the ball. Bends the back on the release with a big full circle arm action. Throws had good strength and accuracy behind them. Would like to see more fluidity out there as glovework gets stiff. Ran a 7.33 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a narrow base. Uses a small leg lift and stride forward for timing and weight transfer. High handset starts coiled behind head. Will chop down at the ball at times and needs to take a more consistent path to the ball. Could impact it hard the other way or back up the middle when on plane. Showed some bat speed as well and some impact at times. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Excellent student.
