2024 High School All State Select Championship (2027-2028 Grads)
Tanner Herdman is a 2027 OF/C with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Silverdale, WA who attends Central Kitsap. Features a medium-sized build with some lean athleticism. In the OF, that athleticism was noticeable within his actions. Showed light/quick feet in his approach where he maintained momentum to and through reception which was clean and out front. Arm worked longer out the back to a lower 3/4 slot at release where throws were mostly uphill but accurate to the bag showing avg. strength for his level. Behind the plate, worked from a knee down set up. Let ball come to him where he showed an efficient/quick exchange that happened at the upper-chest that then worked into a shorter arm action. Stayed low and gained ground with avg. quickness but made all accurate throws to the bag with avg. arm strength for his level. At the plate, sits in a medium base and uses a large leg lift gather. Hands drop down and back in his load. Path worked more level through the zone with avg. bat/hand speed. Some inconsistent timing throughout his BP round but swing showed better during gameplay where bat speed seemed to play up and where he impacted several into the gaps showing decent present power. Named to Top Prospects List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
