Salvador Morales is a 2029 2B/3B/SS with a 5-8 149 lb. frame from Round Rock, TX who attends Round Rock. Medium current frame with wiry strength and a lot of fast twitch to his actions. Ran the 60 yard dash in an impressive 6.74 seconds. Primary position IF, playing the spot with game like urgency, moving well on his feet and getting quickly into proper angles. Glove work is solid, crisply securing the ball out front and handled the backhand as well. Big lateral mobility, especially to the glove side, and plays with a confident demeanor. Short arm action, getting the ball out quick and producing throws with emerging strength up to 73 mph across the diamond. Secondary RHP, working from a hybrid setup and using a belt high leg lift to load. Repeats his delivery and gets to a consistent release, pumping strikes at a high level. Accelerates through a 3/4 arm angle and peaked at 70 mph with the heater, backing that up with a 12 to 6 curve that he spins well. Moxie on the mound and just competes. RHH with a well-balanced inline stance and high handset with high back elbow to get things started. A bit of a late hand hitch cost some timing but when on time found good barrels. Quick hands that deliver the bat head and once the lower-half gets integrated things will make a jump. Hitterish traits and just a good, exciting overall athlete to follow.
