2021 Sunshine West Showcase
Shane Mion is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Glendora, CA who attends Glendora. He has a large frame and a thick build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.19 seconds. Primary shortstop that is athletic and has good footwork. His hands are soft and quick, easily fielding the ball and making clean transfers before throwing to the base. Offensively, he starts in an exaggerated spread stance and does not stride with his front foot. He does a nice job of shifting weight with his lower half while his upper half is rotational. He has a flat bat path and a line drive approach. His hands are quicker, allowing him to generate some bat speed. He does a nice job of utilizing the entire field. Excellent student.
