Sam Vetter is a 2023 C/UT from Huxley, IA who attends Ballard Community Senior. Sam not only showcased her ability to be a power stand in hitter but also demonstrated the ability to leader for her team behind the plate. Behind the dish Sam had her lowest pop time of a 1.94 and did a great job getting the ball in and out of her glove efficiently. Not only does she do a good job getting out of the squat quick for her throws to second, she pounces from behind the plate able to take away and short game. Does a great job getting around the bunt and keeping her throws inside the baseline. Offensively, she is a stand in lefty who does not get cheated at the plate. She generates great power with her lower half and stays through the ball consistently. Sam has a high ceiling and a lot of upside. Very excited to see where she takes her career.
