Richard O'Donald is a 2008 RHP with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Wilmington, DE who attends John Dickson HS. He has a young body and frame that is lean and projectable. O'Donald has a busy drop and drive delivery with some effort on release, but does a good job staying balanced and repeating his release point. He must have some deception to the hitters as there were plenty of weak swings against him and he worked hitters over pretty well. O'Donald's fastball was 87-90 mph and had plus late life at times. His change up was a very nice pitch at 77 mph, with hard fade and sink at the plate. His curveball had big sweeping break and good depth. O'Donald is loose and young and already hard to hit against and projects to get better. Keep a good eye on him. He is a good student.
