Jacob Sandoval is a 2025 SS/3B, MIF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Tustin, CA who attends Villa Park. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a leaner build with room to fill. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows good prep and athletic footwork on the approach to the ball. Moved really well laterally. He has a smooth transfer and looked comfortable in the middle infield. Gets inconsistent with release point at times but solid arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, at the plate starts with a medium base with a leg lift trigger for timing. Shows good bat speed at present through the zone and stays balanced throughout his swing with middle of the field approach. Shows signs of strength to the pull side, remains direct with path, will continue to refine moving forward. Very good student.
