2025 PG Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase (National Showcases Qualifier)
Corbin Spilliards is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Sylva, NC who attends Christ School. Long and lean athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty room. 6.76 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, attacks the ball and works through aggressively, good routes, big arm strength with accuracy, throws very well from lower slots, showed his athleticism and skills charging the ball. Switch-hitter at the plate, sets up slightly open and tall from both sides, has half grade more bat speed at present from the right side, turns hard from the right side with jump off the barrel, more contact over power from the left side with a line drive swing plane, hitting tools from both sides to continue to develop. Also shows lots of mound talent, starts from a closed wind up with a high leg raise and longer stride down the mound, loose and fast arm from a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, showed the ability to throw his fastball to spots with some tailing action. Slider had nice spin at 2500+ rpm and some depth, also flashed a change up. Talented all around young player. Excellent student. Named to the PG Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
