2021 Spring Midwest Workout Showcase (Saturday)
Jack Taxdahl is a 2023 C/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Prior Lake, MN who attends Cretin Derham Hall. Recorded a 7.58 second 60 yard dash time. Medium frame, compact and stocky build with present strength. Primary catcher, receives from a one knee stance and does a good job of carrying his momentum forward. Quick and explosive out of the chute, clean transitions, gets the ball out his hand with urgency. Compact arm action with a present arm speed, gains good ground, recorded a 1.94 second pop time at 75 mph, projects well moving forward. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance and a full load back with the hands. Does a great job of creating separation prior to launch, has some feel for the posture. Created backspin to the opposite field and top spin to the pull side, shows good weight shift and hip rotation. Big swinger that swings with intent, has quick hands and present bat speed, flashed some real power potential. Swing projects well as he continues to develop. Great student.
