2026 PG Kansas City Indoor Showcase
Jalen Lawhead is a 2028 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Goddard, KS who attends Eisenhower. Longer athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Works exclusively from the stretch with an aggressive move down the mound, hard rotation into his release and will lose his direction/balance at times, gets good extension out front and was able to throw strikes with all his pitches. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with some short running life, worked both sides of the plate well and got inside on right handed hitters. Showed nice feel for a split change up with good tumble and depth. Also threw a 1/7 curveball that flashed some depth. 4.93 runner in the forty. Secondary outfielder on defense, is aggressive to the ball and works low through it, longer arm action with some young arm strength. Also worked out at first base and showed good athleticism and strong fundamental footwork. Switch-hitter at the plate, has more strength in his hands and bat speed from the left side, drives well into contact and looks to impact the ball, some lift out front. Sets up spread from the right side with a downhill path into contact, hands driven swing with developing ability to release and turn the barrel. Excellent student. Named to the Kansas City Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
