Samuel Thomas is a 2029 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Durham, NC who attends Charles E Jordan High School. High waisted, thin build with long levers. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, developing mover and coordination with the feet, two hand funnel out front, developing arm strength across the diamond, funnels well with a clean exchange. Secondary right-handed pitcher, long through the back with a three-quarters slot, light cut to the heater, floating depth to the heater, works with a low 50's spinner that is developing in all facets, stretch only with a simple belt high leg lift and works inline down the slope. Took reps at first base, two hands out front, heavier hands, made the plays, developing feel for the turns and around the bag in space. Right-handed hitter, wider base, high hands with a high back elbow, developing bat speed and strength, simplistic one piece swing, wrapped start, middle fields contact, simple swing to repeat, not a ton of lower half engagement. Frame projects well and should improve as he gets older.
