2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (28-29 Grads)
Jack Roberts is a 2029 RHP/3B/OF with a 5-6 165 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Lake Creek. Short and thick build with some strength potential. Works from a rocker step delivery with rhythm and pace to his delivery, full arm swing to a 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot, gets downhill and extended out front. Fastball was in the upper 70's and was thrown to both sides of the plate, got some arm side running life. Threw both a slider and a curveball and created nice spin on both of them, big break and depth on the curveball, solid sweeping shape on the slider. Showed a feel for pitching. Left handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open stance with a tight and high hand load, very rotational swing mechanics, limited shift into contact and will cut across the ball at contact, spray contact to all fields. 8.12 runner in the sixty. Worked out both in the outfield and infield. Has soft hands in the infield and handed the back hand well, step by step actions to the ball, longer exchange and release on his throws. Was aggressive to the ball in the outfield, arm action was looser and more projectable on the grass. Should be playable at both positions.
