Brayden Wetzel is a 2023 MIF/RHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Placentia, CA who attends Mater Dei. Smaller frame with a lean build. Ran a 7.98 second 60-yard dash. Primary middle-infielder, works under control around the infield, gets wide to receive the ball but glove works well, builds momentum into his throws and generates some easy carry across. Also pitches, repeats his delivery well and shows projectable arm speed working through a three-quarters slot; generates some life to the fastball while getting good sweep in the breaking ball and some dive to the changeup. Lefthanded hitter, sets up even and loads deep; shows good quickness to the stroke working short to the ball on a level swing path. Gets occasionally downhill generating low line drive and ground ball contact but shows good impact when able to lift the ball to the middle. Good student.
