Justin Garza is a 2026 C with a 5-4 140 lb. frame from McAllen, TX who attends Mcallen. Young, square shouldered frame with room to fill throughout and develop physically moving forward. Ran an 8.54 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, taller set up behind the plate during drills, receives the ball out front, lower transfer into a compact and tight arm action, gains short ground with lower half coming out of crouch, developing arm strength and carry on throws to second base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate; simple swing at the plate and stays quiet with mechanics, tends to get to front side early with weight shift. Contact oriented approach, works to pull side with contact, will continue to refine lower half mechanics and timing in swing.
