Rudy Valdez is a 2025 2B/RHP, SS, OF, UT with a 5-9 139 lb. frame from Watsonville, CA who attends Watsonville. Medium frame showing length in the limbs and a very lean build. Athletic actions to play in the infield working in time and trusting the glove. Able to adjust to the ball and moved easily in time. Quick-release from a wrist-flick able to make accurate throws from all infield positions. As an outfielder, he was able to open his hips and adapt to the baseball. Flashed some carry for throws and put forth good effort from the accurate 3/4 slot. Works from a narrow stance with a tall posture showing limited load in his hitting stance. Direct hands guide the bat to the ball flashing some backspin on the liner to the pullside. When pitching the hands worked down staying at the waist as the average front knee lifted. Pushed towards third base as he works down the mound with a small cross-fire landing. Mid-slot with the ability to drop down the loose arm. Fastball ran armside and the curveball was a short and lateral cutter shape.
