2022 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 19)
Mason Pomanek is a 2026 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Fuquay-Varina, NC who attends Willow Spring High School. Showed above average speed with a 6.67 second sixty. Primary outfielder with a medium build showing some present strength. Gets to a good position in the fielding process as eh works through the ball ganging ground toward the target with developing footwork. Showed young arm strength from a lower slot fro the position with room to add arm strength moving forward. Right-handed hitter, starts with a the hands away from the body using a leg lift trigger. Swings with good intent showing flashes of bat speed with some direction to the uncoil as he gets to contact. Stays short and direct to the baseball with young barrel accuracy. Excellent student.
