Hayden Willett is a 2025 C/RHP/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Lake Creek. Big young athletic build with some present strength and plenty more to come. Primary catcher on defense, sets up low behind the plate, has good young footwork throwing, will continue to improve with additional lower half athleticism and quickness. Also plays some third base. 8.72 runner in the sixty. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide stance with a lift and replace trigger, pull side approach with some lift in his swing, front side can get early at times, projects power in the future as he continues to get stronger and get repetitions. Took a turn on the mound, drop and drive mechanics with a compact catcher's arm action, pretty low effort mechanics and release. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, mostly straight. Threw two types of breaking balls, a short cutter like slider and a soft curveball. Good student.
