2025 PG Atlantic Coast High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Hampton Gibbs is a 2028 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Wendell, NC who attends Corinth Holders. Tall and physical build with lots of present strength and room for plenty more, stands out physically for his age. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a simple shift and stride into contact, short swing for his size/strength that could use more consistent extension, flashed his power when he got out front and drove the ball, has some ceiling as a hitter with repetitions and refinement. 7.53 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, works low and behind the ball well, soft hands and fields cleanly, very good arm strength across the diamond. Also worked out in the outfield and showed his arm strength there as well. Two-way prospect on the mound, works from a short hybrid wind up with a long and open stride out front, high 3/4's arm slot, will get too rotational and open at times. Fastball topped out at 89 mph and held it's plane well up in the zone, mostly straight. Did a nice job of landing a hard sweeping slider, also flashed some feel for a change up with some fading life. Outstanding student. Named to the PG Atlantic Coast HS All-State Games Top Prospect List.
