Michael King is a 2029 3B/RHP with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Pinecrest, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Taller large build with lots of room and time to get stronger. 8.18 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, who graded out higher as a right handed pitcher at this event. Works from a big rocker step delivery with a belt high leg raise and a long whippy arm action, smooth overall operation. Fastball was in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph with plenty more there as he matures. Change up was a good pitch with some fading life and good arm speed, still developing feel for spinning the ball but that should come with repetitions. Step by step actions at third base on defense, fielded with two hands out front, tends to get the glove down late on the back hand, some ability to change his arm slot. Right handed hitter, sets up slightly open, short inside swing path with a middle of the field line drive approach and developing bat speed. Excellent student.
