Sebastian Sheffield is a 2022 OF/MIF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Oak Hills, CA who attends Oak Hills. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows twitch in actions on approach to the ball, utilizes a crow hop moving into release, occasionally mistimed at release, can incorporate additional footwork, medium arm stroke with quickness, top throw recorded at 73 mph. Fields the ball out front in the infield with two hands and funnels into body, upper body release and can get more lower half going into release to generate momentum. Right-handed hitter, begins with an upright and narrow stance with a high hand set; utilizes a leg kick trigger for timing at the plate. Full swing path through the zone, best contact when working on a linear plane, keeps hands inside the ball, shows some present bat speed and projects with added strength gains, contact oriented approach and can go to all fields.
