Colin Dickson is a 2023 1B/ with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Wasco, CA who attends Wasco. Recorded a 7.66 second sixty-yard dash time. Larger frame with long levers and some present lower half strength. Primary first basemen with deliberate footwork into and through the fielding process. Displays ability to field cleanly and out in front, while using above average arm strength to make accurate throws across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 83 mph in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher, deliberate paced delivery with segmented movements into balance and shorter stride out to foot strike. Works from a lower three-quarter arm slot, flashing natural arm-side life to the fastball that found the strike zone often. Aggressive mentality with fastball that worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 77 mph in this look. Breaking ball is still in the developmental stages with loose spin traits and slurve shape to it. Right-handed hitter that hits from a spread stance with a high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics and good torque into contact. Middle-of-the field approach with inside-hand path, some present bat speed and the ability to carry the pull-side gap when squared. Intriguing prospect with large, projectable frame and potential power at the plate. Will continue to improve with minor adjustments and maturity.
