Cole Barnes is a 2025 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Wilmington, NC who attends Eugene Ashley. Large frame with strong build and durable overall muscularity. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.46 seconds. Primary position RHP, working from the full windup, 1B side of the rubber using a belt high leg lift as he sinks into his back leg over the rubber. Rhythmic hands breaking at the letters into deep offline arm path accelerating through a high 3/4 arm angle. Quick cadence and looseness to his operation, repeating quite well. FB up to 84 mph with lower spin causing heavy sinking action. CB with vertical depth and well above average spin up to 2,400+ rpms. Real projection here. Secondary IF, showing corner type actions with a longer overall operation. Making plays and securing ball with decent glove action. RHH starting slightly open with a lower handset and getting on time regularly. Really strong at impact and knows how to get on plane. Worked the middle of the field with low, line drives. Direct path with hands and sees the ball well. Performed well in game action across the board. Outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
