2024 West Academic Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Brady McKay is a 2026 MIF with a hyper athletic and physical 5-10 170 lb. frame from Long Beach, CA who attends Crean Lutheran HS. Started the event clocking a fast 6.65 60-yard dash. A primary shortstop that projects to stay in the middle and has the positional flexibility to play every position on the field if he chooses and thrive. Owned the defensive session, made all the plays/throws with ease and confidence working through the baseball. McKay is an excellent mover with a quick first step and can get to balls out of range laterally. The bat has impact and demonstrated he can square the ball up on a consistent basis. Showed plus bat speed and a connected swing path to contact. Good looking prospect. Elite student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
