Maddox Griggs is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Aliso Viejo, CA who attends Aliso Niguel. Long and lean build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary infielder, looks to take care of the baseball, fields out in front, longer gather and transfer. Simple fielding mechanics that will continue to speed up as he learns to use the length in his frame. Arm strength across the diamond is solid and will continue to improve alongside his build as well. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a leg kick trigger. Deep hand load, middle to pull side approach. Looks to get his hands out in front, shorter overall stroke with more power left to be unlocked in his lower half. Good student in the classroom as well.
