Truman Polich is a 2023 OF/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Hermosa Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa. Features a tall, slender build with room to add. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. Worked out at first base and in the outfield. Showcased a quick first step and smooth footwork to balls in the outfield. Catches the ball out front often. Long arm action produced accurate throws with some carry. Continuing momentum into throws would help generate more arm strength. Uses efficient footwork during first base workouts. Gets into a quality fielding position. Still developing consistent glove actions. Accurate throws played across the diamond with flashes of carry. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a square stance with a wide base and high back elbow setup. Slight uppercut path creates natural loft within. Flashed bat speed with an approach geared toward the middle of the field. Showed decent strength within the swing. Helps generate solid gap to gap power with the ability to turn on balls. Has potential for more power down the line as the frame and swing continues to develop further.
