Pierson Jackson is a 2025 SS/C, 2B, 3B with a 5-3 135 lb. frame from Pinehurst, TX who attends Tomball. Young, square shouldered frame with room to grow and physically develop moving forward. Ran a 8.86 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, glove plays at the ball out front, takes shorter steps moving towards the ball, extra step working. through the ball, shorter arm action in back, shows ability to change release points, arm strength and carry will continue to develop on throws. Higher set behind the plate during drills, young footwork, similar short arm action on throws, gets uphill with release at times. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing. Gets closed moving into contact, long swing path through the zone, shows comfort working to pull side, best contact when working on a linear plane with line drive contact coming off; will continue to refine lower half mechanics, lets the ball travel.
