2026 PG National Academic Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Caden Britt is a 2028 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Macon, GA who attends Mary Persons. Smaller young build. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow upright stance with a long and extended swing path, tends to get the barrel into the zone late and can make adjustments to shorten, mostly opposite field contact. 7.58 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up one knee down, athletic out of his crouch, received the ball well, has quick lower half actions and blocked well, arm strength still developing but made accurate throws. Also worked out in the infield with second base tools and actions, best infield skill was his lateral range. also showed some hand quickness. Took a turn on the mound, works from a high leg raise delivery with a medium length arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 76 mph with some ride up in the zone, threw strikes with his fastball and challenged hitters. Change up was a good pitch with limited spin and some fading life. Also threw a curveball with short 11/5 shape. Good student.
