Jude Johnston is a 2027 1B/LHP with a 5-11 225 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Atascocita. Recorded an 8.57 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman with present strength to the frame. Deliberate footwork at first base and showed good feel around the bag. Solid footwork and quick release on turns. Left-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with open feet. Worked to lift the ball and path stays steep through the zone. Used a pull side approach during round and comes off well when squared. Secondary left-handed pitcher and works from an easy operation. Drop and drive delivery and releases from a low-3/4 slot. Good arm side run on fastball up to 77 mph and mixed in a changeup that showed lots of depth. Breaking ball flashed tightness and held velocity throughout.
